THE price of a Wattle Grove home sold at auction this month is the highest for the suburb this year.

The property was sold by Moorebank’s Prestige Professionals on December 10 for $855,000.

The home, on a site of about 965sq m, has five bedrooms, a large family rumpus room and a kitchen with marble bench tops and stainless steel appliances.

Outside there is a covered entertainment area with cedar ceilings and its own kitchen, the largest pool in the suburb and a sail cover.

The auction campaign for the property attracted more than 55 viewings.

There were six registered bidders on auction day.

Bidding came down to two keen buyers before the home was sold to a family already living in Wattle Grove.

Prestige Professionals principal Daniel Hall said the listing offered a quality home on a large block.

“The property was rare – its appeal was a combination of the location, the block size and the home,” Mr Hall said.

“Both the vendors and the new purchasers are delighted with the result and looking forward to moving in the new year.”
